Mr. Fischer is a Partner and Senior Managing Director responsible for investment origination in Germany and Central and Eastern Europe. He joined Kildare Partners in 2018 and has over 25 years of experience in real estate and private equity investing in Germany.

Mr. Fischer began his real estate career in 1989. During the next ten years he worked in the mortgage banking divisions of Citibank, Commerzbank and Vereinsbank (today Unicredit). From 1995 until 1997 he was with Hines, where he was an assistant project manager and a member of the team which developed the 52-story Main Tower in Frankfurt. From 1999 until 2004 he was a Director at Orion Capital Managers where he covered the German market. In 2005 he joined Lehman Brothers as a Senior Vice President responsible for investment origination in Germany for the real estate private equity business (LBREP) where, during his four-year tenure, he led numerous large-scale portfolio acquisitions. In 2009, together with former Lehman colleagues and an equity sponsor, he founded Elystan Capital Partners, a Munich-based real estate investment and asset management firm. After leaving Elystan in 2013, he held a non-executive role at Frankonia Eurobau, a major German development company and, from 2014 until 2018, was a Senior Advisor to Varde Partners.

Mr. Fischer holds a BA degree from Oberlin College and a M.Phil from the University of St. Andrews.
